Frequently Asked Questions

PingZeus watches your websites and, when one goes down, emails you what broke, what it usually means, and what to check first — in plain English, not a raw error code.

How is PingZeus different from other uptime monitors?

Most tools tell you a check failed and hand you the raw error — "HTTP 502" or "DNS_PROBE_FAILED" — at 2am. PingZeus translates that into what actually happened, what it usually indicates, and a short list of what to check first. The explanations are rule-based, not an AI guess, so they're instant and predictable.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan monitors up to 3 sites, checks them every 5 minutes, emails you when one goes down, and keeps 24 hours of history. No credit card required.

Do free users get the plain-English alerts?

Yes. The plain-English alerts are the whole point of PingZeus, so every plan gets them, including the free one. Paid plans add more sites and faster checks, not better explanations.

What do paid plans add?

Starter is 9 dollars a month and gets you 10 sites, checks every minute instead of every 5, and SSL certificate expiry alerts. No sales call and no contract.

Will it wake me up over a single blip?

No. A failure has to repeat across consecutive checks before PingZeus emails you, so one momentary hiccup at 3am won't trigger an alert.

Can I try it without signing up?

Yes. There's a free health check on the homepage — paste a URL and it'll tell you what it sees about your site right now, no account needed.
